Born and raised in Pueblo County, Tommy is proud to call Pueblo home. He attended public schools in both Districts 60 and 70, graduating from Rye High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University - Pueblo.

In 2020, Tommy and his dad purchased the engineering company they both worked for, creating New Frontier Engineering. Most recently, he accepted a position with Pueblo County working as Commissioner Daneya Esgar’s Administrator. Tommy has also worked as an instructor for El Pueblo History Museum’s Hands-on History program - teaching youth about skills that would have been needed to survive in Pueblo’s early days.

Until recently, Tommy served as chair of the Sangre de Cristo Board of Trustees and currently serves as President of the District 60 Board of Education and President of the Southern Colorado Equality Alliance. In March of this year, Tommy was honored as the Southern Colorado Equality Alliance’s Person of the Year.

Tommy’s favorite part of Pueblo is the people. Even though we’re a relatively large city, there’s still a small town sense of community and a strong connection to our history.
