As a former member of the Pueblo School District 60 Board of Education, I’m proud of the work we’ve done — but I know there’s more to do. I’m running again because I have a deep commitment to public education and to creating school environments where every student, every family, and every staff member feels welcome, safe, and respected. With proven experience, a collaborative spirit, and a clear vision, I will continue to fight for stronger schools, equitable opportunities, and open, accountable leadership. Pueblo’s future depends on the strength of our schools — and I’m ready to keep working for that future
Experienced leadership, renewed commitment
As a former board member, I bring firsthand knowledge of District 60’s strengths and the complex challenges we face. I understand how policy decisions affect classrooms, families, and staff—and I’m returning to this work with a fresh perspective and a renewed commitment to progress. My experience enables me to ask the right questions, make informed decisions, and collaborate effectively to keep our schools moving forward.
A welcoming education environment for all
Every student, every family, and every staff member deserves to feel safe, respected, and included in our schools. We must foster an environment where diversity is celebrated, equity is prioritized, and belonging is a daily experience—not just an aspiration. That means listening to our community, addressing discrimination and bias, and making sure schools are places where every child can thrive.
Elevating student achievement
Raising student achievement means more than test scores—it’s about unlocking each student’s potential and preparing them for success in life. Every student, regardless of background or neighborhood, should have access to a rigorous, well-rounded education with strong literacy, math, science, arts, and career readiness programs. We must invest in strategies that are proven to close opportunity gaps and ensure all learners reach their fullest potential.
Supporting Our Educators and Staff
Great schools depend on great people. Our teachers, support staff, and administrators are the heart of District 60. We must ensure they are respected, supported, and given the tools they need to succeed. That means advocating for competitive compensation, meaningful professional development, and a work culture that values their voice and well-being. When we invest in our educators, we invest in our students’ future.
Community partnership and accountability
Strong schools are built on trust and collaboration. That begins with transparent governance and continues through open communication, community engagement, and shared responsibility. I believe families, educators, and community members deserve a seat at the table—and a voice in the decisions that affect our students. I’m committed to being accessible, accountable, and focused on building the partnerships we need to strengthen our district.
